Sophie and the Enchanted Toyshop : Laurel has been taking ballet and modern dance classes at the Marin Dance Theatre for two years. The school produces an annual holiday production, Sophie and the Enchanted Toy Shop as an antidote to the plethora of Nutcrackers around here. Laurel was a clown and a street urchin (rag-tag) this year. You might spot her in a boy's brown cap and fingerless gloves in the background of some of the street scenes. I took these shots at a full dress rehearsal, but missed catching her in action, alas. I may add some of the official company shots as they become available.
